MONTBLANC PRESENTS WEST COAST DEBUT OF THE 24 HOUR PLAYS

Montblanc presented the first benefit event for Urban Arts Partnership - THE 24 HOUR PLAYS, in Los Angeles, demonstrating its ongoing support of Arts & Culture. After five consecutive years in New York, Montblanc is joining forces with Urban Arts Partnership for the first time to the West Coast, bringing arts and education programs to Los Angeles. Hollywood’s most talented stars came together on this night and participated in an exciting stream of live performance:  writing, directing, and performing six original short plays – all in just 24 hours.

The creative process of THE 24 HOUR PLAYS in Los Angeles began at 10 p.m. on the night before the show.  Six writers, six directors, twenty-four actors, a musical guest and production team will meet at The Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College of Performing Arts.  Each cast member brainstormed ideas before the writers began composing the plays, will be completed by 6 a.m. the next morning.  With only twelve hours to rehearse, the actors performed the six new plays, interspersed with musical acts, for the very first and only time before a live audience.
